Hay to Griffith and on to Lake Cargelligo NSW

Travelled from Hay to Griffith to get problem with batteries sorted out. Stayed in Caravan Pk in Griffith but wont go into that, havnt got anything good to say so wont say anything. Rained all the way from Hay and all farm land so not a real exciting trip. Battery problems all sorted, new battery charger fitted up and now seeing voltages I havnt seen before, all good I hope.
Sun was out as I left Griffith and headed to Lake Cargelligo, Good drive with nice green fields all the way and its warming up. Checked out a couple of camps around the lake and settled on Frog Hollow (Camp6 No1093). Not far from CBD (1.5k I think) Right on the lake shore, no facilities apart from some picnic tables and rubbish bins but quite pleasant. The sun was out and fairly warm for the afternoon but got very cold as soon as the sun went down. Woke next morning to a great sunrise and a beautiful warm day. Walked into town to have lunch but the town was closed :( .  Staying here till Monday and then heading off further Nth to Cobar, Bourke and then on to Charleville. Nor sure where will be staying along that way till I get there. It's certainly great to have sunshine at last.

Birds herding fish for brekky.

Never seen this happen before. Worked them to the bank then had a great feed I guess.

Sandy Bend : Hay NSW

Met up with John from Grey Nomads forum here.  Very nice and well serviced free park. Hay Council certainly goes out of their way to make this a good stay. Lots of room. Toilets and picnic area by the river all very clean and well looked after. Council guy came around twice wile I was there to drop of fire wood for campers. he told me they are putting in a dump point there soon. Short drive/walk to Infomation Center in town where you can have a shower for $2.00 and clean filtered water available free for campers. Very friendly town.

Martins Bend free camp

Uneventfull trip to Berri and decide to stay at Martins Bend (Camps6 163). Nice big area with plenty of sites. On the river but no camping on river bank. One toilet block and lots of picnic tables and lawned area by the river.
